Here's just a quick update to let you know that the Edit Roster page has now been fully updated and you should be able to get all of your wrestlers, managers and celebrities looking exactly the way you want them to. I'd also like to give a shout out to our growing Edit Roster community on our Forums. Some of the work you guys are doing is tremendous. I will do a much bigger spotlight on the community later this week to showcase your dedication and awesomeness but for now, just know that I personally am always over the moon to see your creations.

I'll admit it, I have a disease. I've got the 'Fantasy Booking' bug  and I can't shake it. It's keeping me up late at night and the thing is, I LOVE IT!

For the majority of the last decade, Tuesday nights after work has been wrestling time. I get a phone call from Shaun Blackford (WWEDVDNEWS). We typically break down Raw and then talk about the wrestling world for hours on end and we both form our theories and predictions about where it's all going. To be honest, I often enjoy that part of wrestling more than actually watching the events. There's just something about predicting the events and storylines that I love and a big part of that is why I wanted to make Wrestling Manager.

Take SummerSlam for example. Will HHH vs Brock Lesnar be the headline act or will John Cena vs CM Punk vs Big Show go on last? It's such a small insignificant question right? And the answer to that is...

... Well it depends what they are doing next?

Who's Brock's next opponent? Who's winning the WWE Championship Match? Who will Punk feud with after the event? Did Brock come back to put HHH over? Would HHH lay down cleanly for Brock? What's the bigger picture? What's going on at Survivor Series? Who will The Rock face at the Royal Rumble? Who will face who at Wrestlemania? Who's facing who at Wrestlemania 30? Where's the next PPV? Is there any significance to the fact that CM Punk doesn't have the WWE Championship on the cover of WWE 13? What DVD's are coming out? Is it significant that Brock Lesnars DVD is releasing the week after Hell In A Cell? Am I mad in thinking that the WWE would try and emulate Brock's run in the UFC by having him lose in his debut to the former champ, only to then come back bigger against a veteran and pick up the title in a rematch with the former champ who has now become champion and is also in his home town?

Maybe the answer has nothing to do with the criteria I just mentioned but that's the kind of thought process that goes through my mind for months leading up to events (and the kind of thought that goes in to mind when I'm designing Wrestling Manager). The amount of times, I've laid out what the main event of Wrestlemania 30 will be is crazy. It's nearly 2 years away but surely WWE already have a plan for it? Did they just tease The Rock vs HBK: The Best Ever on WWE.com?

Think about this.

The Rock has beaten Austin, Hogan, Cena my guess would be this year it's Movie Star vs UFC Star for the WWE Title and The Great One will walk out Champ. Wouldn't it make sense for him to vs Mr Wrestlemania at that point? Just like ONCE IN A LIFE TIME, it would be billed as THE GREATEST EVER! And of course it would make a ton of sense for Rock to win that match because then who's the man he's yet to face at Wrestlemania. Now you're talking about a guy that's DONE IT ALL, except end the Streak!

Every single one of those matches is a gigantic pay check with guaranteed ratings and that's the way WWE operate. That's why Wrestlemania 30 isn't at Madison Square Garden, even though WM20, WM10 and the first ever Wrestlemania was. That's why this year, when Wrestlemania is based in New York it's the Hall of Fame that's at the Garden not Wrestlemania. Vince likes that money and who can blame him.

Anyway, enough of my rants and predictions. If you've found this website, chances are you love fantasy booking as much as I do (or at least as much as a sane person would) In which case, I want to hear your theories. I want to know what you think goes into the planning of these amazing events that we love.

SummerSlam 1992
The very first wrestling event I ever witnessed was SummerSlam '92. It was held here in the UK at Wembley stadium and a massive 80,355 people turned up to see it, making it one of the most attended events in WWE history. It was an awesome spectacular headlined by two of the most memorably matches of all time.

Ultimate Warrior took on 'The Macho Man' Randy Savage in what has to be; THE campest WWF Championship match in history. Both men wearing skin tight, multi-coloured, multi-tasseled outfits and as if that wasn't camp enough, half way through Ric Flair comes strutting out in one of his trademark 'Nature Boy' dressing gowns. Wardrobes aside, this was an epic moment in WWE History and quite possibly Ultimate Warriors finest outing ever.

Then in the main event of the evening, Davey Boy Smith (British Bulldog) took on Bret 'The Hitman' Hart for the WWF Intercontinental Championship. If you've never seen it, go watch it! It's a fantastic match with an amazing crowd and they told a great story.

It's hard to believe that I've been addicted to wrestling for around 20 years now. What was your first event?

Seriously, this is amazing!

Birthday Cake
Wow time goes by. If you look on the forums, you'll see the first Wrestling Manager forum post started a year ago today. So what have we achieved in that time?

  • We released Wrestling Manager in November

  • We've made 7 updates so far (more coming)

  • You guys have done us really proud on the forums. Be it helping each other out, creating content for others to play with, reporting bugs so that we can fix them or suggesting features that help us improve the game.

We might not have the largest amount of members out there but the ones we have, we cherish. Thank you all for everything!

If you don't know who this is, we can't be friends.
In the latest update, we added some more create tools and based on your requests in the forums, we'll be adding some more and fine tuning the ones we have over the coming months.

With this new update, you can now officially edit every single character in the game and it honestly couldn't be more simple. Grab the text files from the Edit Roster feature, edit the names, copy the files into iTunes and sync. Job done.

For full instructions, see the Edit Roster page on here and please check out some of the fantastic work that the wrestling manager players have created. I honestly love seeing the new content you all come up with for Wrestling Manager.

Thank you all for your hard work and passion!

Proud!

4 Awesome things happened today in the land of Wrestling Manager. All of which made me proud to be doing what we're doing.

1) We announced the feature set for our upcoming 1.0.7 patch. It's one of the biggest updates we've performed and I can't wait for you all to be playing it.

2) We were privileged to be included in an upcoming article about the bright future of the indie wrestling game scene.

3) A poster of Wrestling Manager appears in Pro Wrestling X alongside AAW2 and Wrestling Revolution. Like all major wrestling game fans out there. I've been following the MDickie games for years. AAW is one of the main reasons to check out 'xbox indie' and to be included in a game that has been made by one of the most passionate fans out there (The guy's been plugging away at this for 10 years and he's still going strong)... well like I said, it's something I'm proud to be included in.

4) Then to top it off, I've just checked out our Forums over at WrestlingManagement.com and realised that over the past couple of days, some really awesome dudes have posted full listings for our in game roster editors. They have gone to town and by the sounds of it, one of them has spent weeks putting images and names together too.
